Building 1: from drawings to material choices

Work on Building 1 is moving from architectural drawings towards practical material specifications. A working document now sets out proposed floor finishes, paint colours, doors and windows for the future clinical spaces, laboratory, pharmacy, medical storage and workshop areas at Rumah Kambera.

The proposals include matt floor tiles, interior grey and clay tones, black uPVC doors and windows, and rolling doors for the workshops. These details have to match how the building will be used each day. Several choices still need confirmation before the contractor can finalise the quotation. This is technical planning, not a report of materials already purchased or installed.
